ENVOY is a short, GM-less roleplaying game for three or more players. Inspired by Ursula K. LeGuinn's The Left Hand of Darkness, players take on the roles of THE ENVOY, a human visitor to an alien world, and several representatives of that world's society.  ENVOY explores persuasion, how we come to understand unfamiliar cultures, and getting what you want, as players collaboratively build a society by answering questions, and try to shape the perception of their culture to their own ends.

Download includes a .docx version of the rules which has been optimized for screenreaders and reformatted to be easier to read for those with dyslexia.

Hello, I just picked this game up and it seems really interesting! I can't wait to play it with my friends. I was wondering if you'd be willing to clarify the "Undermine Another Representative" action a bit more? Specifically the bit at the end where it says "trade favor tokens". Is there a specific amount that that gets traded from the undermined representative to the underminer?

Thanks for your question! It's been a while since I looked over the game—which was written with a strict word limit, hence the lack of explanation in some of the instructions—but I believe "trade favor tokens" means to trade your pile of favor tokens with the other players' pile. So, if you have three tokens and they have five, you would swap with them so that you have five and they have three. Hope this helps!

Ah, that makes more sense now. Yes, that helped a lot! Thank you for the info and for making the game!
