COMEDY/TRAGEDY

It is the eve of the Duke’s wedding, and everyone in town—no matter how tangentially related—is talking about it. Behind the scenes, relatives plot; servants gossip; and those who shouldn’t, fall in love. But will tomorrow end with those involved all happily married, or all tragically dead? Only time will tell.

COMEDY/TRAGEDY is a game of dramatic irony, mistaken identity, and theatrical soliloquy, inspired by the works of William Shakespeare. Based on John Harper's Lasers & Feelings, COMEDY/TRAGEDY sets in motion the events of a Shakespearean drama—but whether the play is a comedy or a tragedy, only time will tell. Characters use COMIC actions, TRAGIC actions, and SOLILOQUIES to navigate obstacles and accomplish personal goals against the backdrop of a major event, weaving together a dramatic tale in which no one ever truly comes out on top.
